| TITLE: HydroStrobe™ Unit SYNOPSIS: After the 9/11 incident, it became apparent to me the lack of rescue saving devices, or rather a lack of cheap, compact, and efficient tools. The HydroStrobe Unit main purpose is to provide a light source, guidance in from the rear, and a hydration system (for the rescuer and victim) with a limited amount of paramedic gear. Each light is a fully articulated LED flashlight, mounted at the shouldars, and can provide a 270 degree lit area. There are 2 rear mounted LED strobe lights that are detachable for use in "photo-location" at night or in dark areas. The unit is based around a central hydration sack, with 2 tubes (for rescuer & victim). There is also a section separate from the hydration sack that contains pockets for paramedic gea (stethescope, scissors, pulse/OX meter, etc.) This prototype was assembled using found material. |
